Jellyfish - red eri silk
These delicate and detailed jelly fish are wet felted and adorned with thread and beads. Their oral arms and tentacles are made from silk, bamboo, tencil, and other shiny, flowy fibers. The body is a wetfelted combination of wool, thin shiny fibers such as bamboo or silk, and thread or beadwork. Each one assembled completely by hand. The dark orage of this jelly is red eri silk, a luscious natural deep orange color, it is not dyed. From top to bottom they are 8-9 inches.
Three different ones are pictired here:
- All white tentacles/oral arms
- Orange tentacles in middle
- Orange tentacles/oral arms outside
Order 1 to hang in the window, or multiple to make a "bloom".
They hang on silk thread which is fine yet strong to add to the effect that they are floating.
These jellies are not a toy, they are a piece of art to hang. While they are created to be sturdy, the oral arms and tentacles have to be delicate to be realistic. If you place in a child's room, make sure it is safely out of reach.
